NeuroConverse is a contemporary online journal. As a digital publication we will be able to offer space for audio and video subject matter, even interactive content, as well as the written word, though we also wish to remain close to traditional forms of journal writing, or variations on those themes. To uphold our values of inclusivity, diversity, and respect, we model ourselves as an online symposium where everybody’s voice may be heard – but we need these voices to be listened to, and to be taken seriously. So behind it all is an academic team, a team that values rigour and research. And we hope you do too.

Our Vision

The journal will occupy and bridge the spaces between research and lived experience, between theory and practice, and between academia and readability. We will be intelligent and accessible, combining theoretical approaches with empirical research, and applying evidence-based arguments to real-world situations. We also welcome intercultural perspectives:

NeuroConverse will reach a wide and diverse audience, and contributions that take international and intercultural perspectives and sensitivities into account, avoiding the traps of ethnocentricity and monoculturalism, will be especially appreciated. And we are not restrictive. We invite original research, new applications of old ideas, reviews, essays (short and long form), considered opinion pieces, videos of your academic discussions, and even something a bit more light-hearted such as original poetry.

We cover a broad range of topics relating to neurodiversity, from art to digital technology, from history to philosophy, from psychology to linguistics, from pedagogy to politics, from history to sociology, from business to neurology, from design thinking to sport, from gender-studies to cultural studies, and beyond. Wherever your interests lie, our interests lie. And we invite new thinkers as well as established scholars. We welcome contributions that can make a difference to people’s lives. We wish to publish work that is innovative, meaningful, humanist, ethically focused, and above all impactful! We want to amplify your expertise.

In short, we aim to stand at the forefront of thought leadership in this area.
